After the accident, unease grew like a mold in the corners of his mind.

After the accident, unease grew like a mold in the corners of his mind.

The grim but sterile atmosphere of the hospital took care of his physical and medical

needs. The potions and physiotherapy had begun to show some signs of healing albeit

slowly.

The medical fraternity held its narcissistic mirror and patted their own backs.

The withdrawals symptoms were beginning to show. An inflated anxiety surfaced.

Leanings towards the banned substance started to manifest into violence. Violence was

initially restricted to foul language and the second stage 'progressed' into physical

violence. Strait-jacket was the last refuge. Valium helped ease the condition.

His mind was the silo of suspicion stored in a bottomless pit. Anger, frustration started to

fill. A relapse at this juncture is very common. Keeping the mind engaged into some

activity was recommended.

He started to walk on the path of recovery. He travelled the road from ICU to the friendly

environs of home. What was his ailment? Readers, can you guess? I bet you won’t.

Addiction to gadgets. Addiction to social media had reduced him to a zombie. He was on

digital detox.
